The project location is in Futian District, Shenzhen, at the southern end of the city’s central axis. As a composite development zone for the subway (Huanggangcun Station, Fumin Station), the design fully utilizes its magnetic field in planning, bringing together people and space/transportation/urban sharing to create a new urban space.
Our design tries to slow down people’s walking speed and catch the flow of people by setting up an arc-shaped gathering square. and provides a leisure platform for citizens to interact and entertain. By creating an open architectural space, it provides a carrier for people’s public cultural life, and then feedbacks the needs of the city and people. As the node of the central axis, the project echo carry the spiritual pursuit of Huanggang villagers with the “tree of life”.anggang villagers with the “tree of life”.
